Pick the best IP for you
Using a shared IP may not work for everyone. For example, if you have a business or run a website through a VPN connection, you always need to have the same address.
Your IP address impacts your digital life, so here are the differences between shared and dedicated IPs.
|Shared, dynamic IPs||Dedicated, static IPs|
|Shared by multiple VPN users||Used exclusively by you|
|Different every time you connect to a VPN server||The same every time you connect to it|
|Can’t give you access to IP-restricted networks||Can give you access to IP-restricted networks|
|Automatic configuration||2-click manual configuration|
|Possible bad neighbor effect||Clean reputation|
|Comes with your CyberGhost VPN subscription||Is an add-on to your CyberGhost VPN subscription.|
Whether you need a dynamic or a static IP address depends entirely on your needs.
At CyberGhost VPN, neither is inherently better, and they’re both giving you the same levels of privacy and security.
Our token-based Dedicated IP innovative system
Here at CyberGhost VPN, we’re setting the industry-standard for dedicated IPs. And that’s because we believe you shouldn’t sacrifice any of your security or privacy when using a static IP.
Usually, when you get a Dedicated IP, the VPN provider knows what’s the static IP address you were assigned. That comes with some privacy downsides, but it’s still how most companies in the VPN world do it.
Not us, though.
To remove any ties between your CyberGhost VPN account and your Dedicated IP, we use tokens. After you get the add-on, you can redeem your token in My Account. Then, all you have to do is validate it in your CyberGhost VPN apps
Because of this system, you can even gift a Dedicated IP to a friend with a CyberGhost VPN subscription!
The best servers for your Dedicated IP
You can locate your Dedicated IP in the US, Germany, France, UK, or Canada.
What’s more, in just a click of a button, you can always connect to our network of over 6300 servers in more than 90 countries with no limitations. You can easily switch between your Dedicated IP and a shared one, depending on what you’re up to online.
Count on us for the best VPN experience!

You’re the one who knows best.
If you need secure, encrypted access to IP-restricted resources, then your answer is yes.
Just keep in mind that, at CyberGhost VPN, both our shared and Dedicated IPs give you absolute privacy and security, blazing-fast speeds, full bandwidth, and come with no restrictions.
If you’re tempted to get a Dedicated IP thinking it will give you better speeds because you’re the only one using it, don’t. That’s not the case. All of our servers are optimized for maximum speeds, and you’ll get the same results with a shared IP.
Yes, you can, but each needs to be tied to a separate CyberGhost VPN subscription.
However, you can validate as many tokens as you want inside any CyberGhost VPN app.
No, that’s not possible.
Dedicated IPs are an add-on to your subscription, but they’re not tied to your CyberGhost VPN account.
You can do this in the Dedicated IP tab in My Account.
Take your pick between US, Germany, France, UK, and Canada, and redeem your token.
You can’t change a Dedicated IP’s location after you’ve redeemed your token.
You need your token every time you want to activate your Dedicated IP in a CyberGhost VPN app or after you’ve just reinstalled it.
Our system is set up for maximum privacy and security, so we cannot help you modify, retrieve, or activate tokens for you.
The only copy of the token was with you.
If you want another Dedicated IP, you’ll have to renew your CyberGhost VPN subscription.
We can’t give you a new one instead, either.
Because your Dedicated IP is not tied to your CyberGhost VPN account, that’s to be expected.
All you need to do is activate your token in your CyberGhost VPN app again.
With a Dedicated IP, your original IP address is hidden, and your connection is secured with AES 256-bit encryption. Our strict no-logs policy always protects you, and we have no idea about what you do online. That’s also the case with our shared IPs.
You can read more about how we protect your digital privacy in our Transparency Reports.
You can get it as an add-on for 5 USD a month.
