Calling all The Bachelorette fans! Season 20 is here. 2023’s installment of The Bachelorette started airing on June 26 with 25 men battling for the heart of one lucky Bachelorette. We might only be in the first few episodes, but we have plenty to talk about.

So, what do we know about The Bachelorette 2023? From hometown stays and one-on-one dates to rose ceremonies and shock eliminations, we’ve gathered the inside gossip to give you the lowdown on what to expect. Here’s everything you need to know about season 20 so far, including who will be the next Bachelorette. Warning — potential spoilers included!

Who Will Be the Next Bachelorette 2023?

The first question on everyone’s minds is who is the next Bachelorette? Charity Lawson is the lucky lady on the latest series of The Bachelorette. If you watched the 2023 series of The Bachelor, Charity Lawson will be a familiar face. She made it to Zach Shallcross’ final four before an emotional departure following the hometown date. 

As usual, The Bachelorette features a former contestant from the previous gender-swapped season. However, 2023’s series brings some unexpected changes. Firstly, the show’s creator and showrunner Mike Fleiss isn’t returning for this season. 

He announced his resignation in March 2023, thanking ABC for “an extraordinary 21 years,” but giving no insight as to why his two-decade stint came to an end. According to Variety, this may be related to an ongoing internal investigation against him for racial discrimination and misconduct. Jason Ehrlich, Claire Freeland, and Bennett Graebner are running this season as his replacement.

The suitors’ time in the mansion could also be cut as The Bachelorette 2023 is expected to be shorter than usual. Just six men were left by early April 2023. Since filming started in March 2023, it seems Charity sent contestants packing swiftly. The exact number of episodes is unknown yet, although we know it’s always shorter than The Bachelor. 

Who Is Charity Lawson?

Her name is Charity Lawson and she’s been on our screens already, but what else is there to know about her? Well, Charity is a 27-year-old mental health therapist from Georgia. She graduated from Auburn University in 2022 after six years of studying and has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

During her time at university, Charity became well-known on her campus as a member of a sorority, tutor, kitchen volunteer, and model. Is there anything she can’t do?

Her kind and loving nature made her a fan favorite during her time on The Bachelor. In fact, fans were incredibly vocal about wanting her to become the next Bachelorette. 

The showrunners listened, and the news was announced in the After the Final Rose special during a game of This or That. It seemed Charity was more shocked than the audience when she asked “Is this for real right now?”, followed by “Oh my god, I’m gonna cry!”

Charity later appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, expressing her gratitude for being chosen to find love. Talking about being the fourth woman of color on the show, she said “I acknowledge that this is so much bigger than myself… I’m honored to hold that representation for other people at home that look like me.”

The Bachelorette 2023 Lineup

In true The Bachelorette style, this season welcomed 25 men to the mansion eager to find love. We have many faces and names to remember, and some have already headed back home after failing to impress Charity. Let’s look at the full lineup to see who was (or still is) in for the battle of the final rose.

Aaron B.

Aaron B., 29, is a software salesman and realtor from California who’s ready to find his match and settle down. He’s a former footballer, plays the violin and piano, and loves a good novel. He’s also appeared on ABC’s game show, The Final Straw.

Aaron S.

Aaron S., 33, is a firefighter paramedic from San Diego and a lover of the outdoors. He’s into paddleboarding, cage diving, surfing, and other adventurous activities. Can Charity tame his wild heart?

Adrian

Adrian, 33, is a realtor from Northridge, California. He’s also a personal trainer, an aspiring culinary traveler, and has a major in criminal justice. Adrian is no stranger to the camera, having appeared in a 2021 movie called Asbury Park. This love-seeking hopeful also has a one-year-old daughter.

Brayden

Brayden, 24, is a travel nurse from San Diego. Although he’s three years younger than Charity, he has a mature demeanor. A dog lover, adventure seeker, and aspiring salsa dancer, Brayden certainly brings a lot to the mansion. 

Caleb A.

Caleb A., 29, was born in Ghana, West Africa before moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan. He did his undergrad at Michigan State University and is currently a resident physician in Ann Arbor. Aside from his medical career, Caleb enjoys producing music, heading out on a hike, and tucking into a picnic.

Caleb B.

Caleb B. is a 24-year-old professional wrestler from Orlando, Florida. Although he’s a master in the ring, that’s not all he enjoys. Caleb is a family man, looking to settle down and build a future with his Mrs Right. 

Chris

Chris, 27, is a world record jumper from White Plains, New York, holding two Guinness World Records – but will he make the jump into Charity’s heart? He’s a former football star who enjoys a spot of dunking. He’s also into binge-watching a good TV series (specifically Grey’s Anatomy).

Dotun

Dotun was born in Nigeria before moving to the US at a young age. He’s currently a 30-year-old medicine specialist living in Brooklyn, New York. His work takes up much of his time, though he claims to love exploring the outdoors and traveling to new countries.

James

28-year-old James is an attorney living in Chicago. When he’s not defending clients, James enjoys traveling the world and working on his family’s apple farm. He’s also fairly fluent in French. Oh là là, c’est bon James!

Joe

San Fran-born Joe, 32, is obsessed with EDM music festivals and traveling to new places. He works as a tech operations director day to day, and can be found hiking or in a restaurant in his spare time. Joe’s also a self-proclaimed “proud plant daddy.”

Joey

27-year-old Joey is a tennis pro living and working in Hawaii. He loves golf, country music, and exploring the outdoors. When he’s not teaching tennis, he’s gazing at the stars. Will Charity gaze into his heart and find her soulmate?

John

John, 27, is a data scientist from New York. He’s a die-hard Harry Potter fan and enjoys a TikTok dance or two. You’ll find him in an upcoming New York restaurant or pumping iron in the gym. John can also woo Charity with his guitar skills.

John Henry

John Henry, 30, is an underwater welder living in Virginia Beach. His love for water extends beyond work — he’s looking for someone who will enjoy aquatic adventures and diving with him. At least he only has to compete with 24 other fish for Charity’s attention in the mansion!

Josh

28-year-old Harvard grad student Josh is based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He shares Charity’s love for, well, charity. He raised his two younger brothers and gave up his studies and a Wall Street career to work in developing affordable housing. He’s since resumed his studies and is looking for a wife and mother to (hopefully) four children one day!

Kaleb

Kaleb is a construction salesman from Georgia. The 26-year-old is a former Division I footballer, has a blue belt in jujitsu, and studied at Auburn University — the same as Charity.

Khalid

Khalid, 28, is a tech recruiter in Dearborn, Michigan. He enjoys reading gaming magazines, training in the gym, and listening to SZA. He comes from a family with seven siblings and wants to have his own farm one day, so hopefully Charity is into big family gatherings!

Michael

28-year-old Michael is a yacht captain from Chicago. Although he spends many hours at sea, Michael enjoys quality time with his family — and finding new colognes to add to his collection. Well, at least we know he’s going to make one of Charity’s senses tingle!

Nic

HR Executive and Army vet Nic is from Bayonne, New Jersey. The 32–year-old admits to spending much of his time in the kitchen cooking new recipes. He’s looking for someone to take on an around-the-world adventure, before settling in Shanghai.

Peter

33-year-old Peter is an airline pilot from the Big Apple. He enjoys playing pickleball and beating players on Mario Kart. Although he’s traveled the world already, he’s ready to do it all again with his one true love. As both a man of faith and the self-proclaimed “life of the party,” Peter hopes Charity can match his positive energy.

Sean

25-year-old Sean is one of the youngest Bachelors in Charity’s lineup. Based in Tampa, Florida, Sean is a software sales representative who enjoys golfing, boat rides, and buying new items for his house.

Spencer

Spencer, 32, is a medical sales director from Moorpark, California. He’s a family man, putting his son above all else. He also enjoys beach bike rides, hikes, and reading Jack Kerouac novels.

Tanner

30-year-old Tanner is a mortgage lender based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He’s also a fitness instructor, dog lover, and a self-confessed clean freak. Tanner has rescued over 50 dogs with his family and hopes to keep those efforts going with his future wife. What a labor of love!

Taylor

Loan Officer Taylor is 32 and living his best life in Springboro, Ohio. He’s a romantic at heart, usually found walking his dog or dancing to a new tune. Even though he’d describe himself as a goofball, Taylor likes to shower his special someone with little romantic gestures, like breakfast in bed.

Warwick

Warwick, 27, is a construction manager from Nashville, Tennessee. His Japanese roots (and his mom!) are incredibly important to him. Warwick enjoys dabbling with Legos and going to see a new play at the theater.

Xavier

Xavier, 27, is a biomedical scientist from Carrboro, North Carolina, who enjoys knitting and playing video games in his spare time. Words of affirmation are definitely his love language as he likes to shower his partner with compliments. Who doesn’t like getting heaps of praise?

The Bachelorette 2023 Spoilers

It’s no secret The Bachelorette is pre-filmed every year. So, technically, someone already knows what’s going to happen. Charity and her Bachelor might be keeping things quiet, but lucky for you, we’ve found some insider info. Here are some of the rumors about The Bachelorette 2023.

The Bachelorette Filming Locations

Although we know the show is a global affair, we don’t always know which countries and cities are on the list. However, we’ve found a few spoilers revealing where Charity is taking her 25 Bachelors.

Of course, the Bachelor Mansion is a key location for the series. Episodes 1–3 all take place at the LA mansion where Charity is introduced to her suitors. For episode 4, Charity heads to Portland and Vancouver for one-on-one dates. Episode 5 moves us to New Orleans, before the hometown dates during episode 6. 

We know the final episode was filmed in Fiji, which is a first for The Bachelorette. The production team hasn’t revealed the finale location in previous seasons, but Charity spilled all when she posted snaps of the final episode online. 

Bachelor Eliminations

Charity doesn’t seem to be holding back. She’s already sent many of the men packing, eliminating six Bachelors in week 1 and a further five during week 2. Clearly, she didn’t hit things off with Warwick either — she sent him home almost immediately after their one-on-one date in episode 3. So, what else do we know about the elimination order? 

In week 4, rumors suggest we’ll see Brayden go after a group date, as well as Caleb, John, and Michael. In week 5, Charity supposedly dumps two more Bachelors following a group date — say goodbye to Sean and Tanner. As for the weeks after, we’re not sure yet. Some also speculate Adrian, who’s been dubbed the tattletale of the group, won’t last much longer for all the drama he’s creating.

Roses Revealed

Getting roses on The Bachelorette is like winning the lottery — for the Bachelors, at least. Charity’s already handed out a few flowers, with her first impression rose going to Braydon. She’s also expected to bless more Bachelors with their much-anticipated rose at the end of her one-on-one dates. Apparently, Dotun, Xavier, Joey, and Aaron B. all received a rose from Charity, with some getting more than one. They’ll need a vase! 

Dramatic Dumpings

What’s more ruthless than the Bachelorette sending one of her potential matches home after a group date? Talk about a bruised ego! Well, this season we’ll see a fair few of those. 

Even though he was one of the lucky few who received a rose, apparently Charity sends Braydon home in week 4 following a Girl Scouts-themed group date. In week 5, it’s expected we’ll see Sean and Tanner packing their bags after a group date alongside Aaron B and Xavier.

Charity’s Final Four

It’s clear from what we know so far that Charity has a few favorites. So, it might (or might not) come as a surprise to see this lineup in the final four. Charity’s last four contestants were Joey, Xavier, Aaron B., and Dotun. 

All four men get to enjoy a hometown date and some one-on-one with Charity before the final hoorah. Aaron doesn’t get the final rose, so he’s not one of the last three contestants. However, he was snapped in Fiji, so we can’t guess when he was sent home yet.

The Next Bachelor in Paradise is Here

Aaron B. will be the next face of Bachelor in Paradise, which airs later this year. ABC hasn’t confirmed a premiere date for season 9 yet, but we’re sure it’ll be as drama-inducing as ever. 

We may see some other previous contestants on the beach too, particularly those from the last season of The Bachelor. Ariel, Kat, Brooklyn, and Jess could make an appearance. Even 2022’s Bachelorette Rachel might try to win Aaron’s heart.

Who Is the Next Bachelorette’s Winner?

No one except the cast and crew knows for sure who the winner of The Bachelorette 2023 is. It’d only ruin the ending for us all. That said, rumors are circulating about Charity’s chosen match. In fact, it appears Charity revealed the spoiler herself.

Supposedly, Charity and Dotun’s Instagram stories have secretly exposed their not-so-secret romance. Both Charity and Dotun posted from the same Dutch Fred’s restaurant in Brooklyn. Fans did a little digging, suggesting the table on both of their stories looked the same — apparently, the candle gave it away. Dotun quickly deleted his story, perhaps after realizing what fans could see.

Of course, it’s only speculation, but could we see Dotun crowned Charity’s winner? We already know he made it to the final four, so it’s definitely possible. Could there be a proposal? Could Charity break The Bachelorette’s curse of failed relationships? She did tease that her love story on the show will have a happy ending. We’re eagerly waiting in anticipation.
