How to use split tunneling with CyberGhost for Android

The Split Tunneling feature enables you to choose which apps will access the Internet through the VPN tunnel and which apps you'd like to allow to access the Internet via your main connection.

Note: By default, CyberGhost routes ALL traffic from ALL apps through the VPN tunnel (where your IP is changed and all traffic encrypted). If you do not make any changes to Split tunneling after installing CyberGhost, all of your apps will go through the VPN by default.

How to customize which apps go through the VPN

1. Start CyberGhost VPN and go to 'Settings'.

2. Head to the 'VPN' area and select App Split Tunnel feature.

3. By Default, CyberGhost will protect ALL apps, you can change which apps you wish to bypass the VPN tunnel by tapping in the "Protect all applications" Section and choosing "Custom rules"

4. Now you can simply uncheck the boxes next to each app you want to Allow Access to the Internet through your main connection, not the VPN tunnel.

Note: When selecting the Custom rules mode, you can use the "Protect new apps" option to ensure any NEW app, installed after you've set the custom rules is protected automatically.
