Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Cast: Who’ll Win the Mirrorball Trophy?

The DWTS season 32 cast is out. Mixed reactions have been popping up, from “I don’t know most of them” to “Ooh, someone’s making a comeback.” You’re either a millennial who grew up with the likes of Jason Mraz, Alyson Hannigan, and Barry Williams, or a Gen Z who admires Xochitl Gomez, Harry Jowsey, or Lele Pons. Either way, they’re all part of this season’s roster. Any gaps in pop-culture knowledge won’t matter once the celebrities hit the dancefloor to flaunt their moves.

This season’s cast is a good balance of celebrities with innate dancing skills and some with zero experience. Many viewers aren’t exactly fans of pitching dancing newbies against those who have had exposure to the art. However, we’ve seen a couple of surprising wins from previous seasons, proving hidden talent may only need the right setting, push, and motivation.

The Dancing with the Stars season 32 release date is on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+. It’ll be available on Hulu the next day. Succeeding episodes will air every Tuesday on ABC and Disney+. The premiere episode will be a two-and-a-half-hour special.

Now, the big question: Who will win this season? That’s up for discussion with family and friends, so you better prepare your points in advance.

I’ve ranked each celebrity below from most likely to be voted off to most likely to win the Mirrorball Trophy. These predictions aren’t based on favorites or their current popularity, but on their dancing know-how (or lack of it). Consider this your cheat sheet.

Our Predictions for Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars

#14 Adrian Peterson

Claim to Fame

The NFL football legend is one of the best running backs in history, most notably when he played for the Minnesota Vikings. He’s scored a touchdown for six teams, the most any NFL player has done.

🕺 Dancing Flair

A man of speed and strength, this team player sure knows how to bring in the A-game. Though he doesn’t have prior dance experience, who knows what teaming up with a professional dancer can bring. Dancing is, after all, also a sport that you can excel in with enough practice.

👯 Pro Partner: Britt Stewart

#13 Matt Walsh

Claim to Fame

He’s the Emmy-nominated actor and comedian best known for his role as Mike McLintock in Veep. He was also a correspondent on The Daily Show when Jon Stewart was still the host.

🕺 Dancing Flair

Absolutely nowhere on the interwebs can you see a dancing Matt Walsh. In a short clip with his pro partner, he says he’s looking forward to getting better at dancing. Maybe he already has some skills that we just haven’t seen. As the audience, we laugh at him, but maybe he’ll be the one laughing when he surprises us onstage.

👯 Pro Partner: Koko Iwasaki

#12 Mauricio Umansky

Claim to Fame

Mauricio is a real estate mogul who owns the luxury brokerage The Agency. He’s represented the biggest names in the entertainment industry, selling properties for Walt Disney, Michael Jackson, and more. He’s also the husband (now ex) of Kyle Richards on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and you’ll witness his daily work hustle on Buying Beverly Hills.

🕺 Dancing Flair

In an Instagram post, Mauricio admits joining DWTS is out of his comfort zone. He also mentioned in another interview that learning the choreography is very difficult. What we do know, though, is that his family is in full support of his new endeavor. He will surely bring in his competitive streak, something he possesses being in a high-stakes business.

👯 Pro Partner: Emma Slater

#11 Harry Jowsey

Claim to Fame

This Australian model rose to fame as a contestant and perpetual rule-breaker on Too Hot to Handle. He’s also an entrepreneur and hosts his own podcast Dating Harry Jowsey.

🕺 Dancing Flair

In an On the Red Carpet interview, Harry says that nothing in his life has prepared him for DWTS. We’ve seen him having fun on TikTok but his dance moves are, albeit cute, quite awkward. Of course, it’s a different story when you’re training with a professional dancer instead of learning from an app. My expectations aren’t big for this guy, but for someone who loves attention, he’ll want to make sure his moves are social media worthy.

👯 Pro Partner: Rylee Arnold

#10 Charity Lawson

Claim to Fame

We first saw this reality TV star in season 27 of The Bachelor. She didn’t find love on that show, but she found it not so long after as the leading lady on The Bachelorette season 20.

💃 Dancing Flair

Charity likes dancing, but that’s no indication if she’s any good at it. She says she has no previous dancing experience save for the time she was a cheerleader. I think she’s downplaying what she’s capable of. In a brief interview for On The Red Carpet, she mentioned that being ahead is her game plan. Preparation can indeed put her at an advantage.

👯 Pro Partner: Artem Chigvintsev

#9 Jamie Lynn Spears

Claim to Fame

If Nickelodeon was part of your teenage years, then you know Jamie’s the lead character of  Zoey 101 and Zoey 102. She also made a regular appearance on All That. Her latest role is for Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias.

💃 Dancing Flair

Jamie had her fair share of jazz, ballet, and tap dancing lessons as a kid. She was also a cheerleader during her college prep school days. Surely she has enough skills to capitalize on. Many believed that she’d live under the shadow of her more famous sister Britney Spears, but Jamie has so far proven that assumption wrong. Perhaps her DWTS performance will be another feat to add to her career timeline.

👯 Pro Partner: Alan Bersten

#8 Barry Williams

Claim to Fame

Remember Greg Brady? Barry played the eldest brother in the iconic TV show The Brady Bunch. He also starred in many of the show’s spinoffs.

🕺 Dancing Flair

It’s apparent in The Brady Bunch and The Brady Bunch Hour that Barry has the potential to be a crooner and dancer. Many viewers even wanted to learn the dance steps! He also did a stint in the Broadway musical Pippin, and was a featured dancer in the annual event World’s Largest Disco several times. Being the oldest celebrity in the DWTS lineup, we’ll see if he can capture the hearts of a younger audience today as he did in the 70s.

👯 Pro Partner: Peta Murgatroyd

#7 Alyson Hannigan

Claim to Fame

Her portrayals of Lily in How I Met Your Mother, Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Michelle Flaherty in American Pie make her a very familiar face on TV.

💃 Dancing Flair

Aside from her krumping and shaking comedically to the tune of Milkshake in Date Movie, there’s not a lot of on-screen evidence of her dancing skills. DWTS might just be the opportunity for her to level up from silly dance moves to professional-level execution.

👯 Pro Partner: Sasha Farber

#6 Mira Sorvino

Claim to Fame

Mira has a string of awards, including an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her role in Woody Allen’s film Mighty Aphrodite. She was also a nominee for the Emmys (Norma Jean & Marilyn) and BAFTAs (Mighty Aphrodite).

💃 Dancing Flair

Two classic movie scenes come to mind. The more popular one is from Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, where Mira pirouettes to Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. The other one is her sultry dance in Summer of Sam where she sways in a red dress. They may not be today’s most popular choreographies, but Mira sure knows how to work them with natural moves paired with raw emotion.

👯 Pro Partner: Gleb Savchenko

#5 Tyson Beckford

Claim to Fame

He’s the unmistakable face of Ralph Lauren campaigns. You’ll instantly recognize him as one of the top supermodels of the 90s. He was also the host for both seasons of Make Me a Supermodel.

🕺 Dancing Flair

He may know how to work his angles during photoshoots, but can he move to the rhythm of music instead of camera clicks? Apparently, he can. Tyson was a celebrity guest host for Chippendales a few years back, and he sure can gyrate and exude the sexiness required. That includes having the physique of a Greek god.

I’m confident he’s more than eye candy. With enough training, discipline, and willingness to learn — things he already does as a model — he can put on spectacular performances for DWTS.

👯 Pro Partner: Jenna Johnson

#4 Xochitl Gomez

Claim to Fame

You’ve seen her face as America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Dawn Schafer in The Baby-Sitters Club.

💃 Dancing Flair

Besides a short TikTok clip of Xochitl doing a few fun moves, there’s not much that proves she has dancing skills. However, she may come in strong with experience in musical theater performances at a very young age. Her versatility in her on-screen roles also suggests she’s more than ready to discover more of what she can do. Oh, and is there really a Latina who isn’t good at dancing?

👯 Pro Partner: Val Chmerkovskiy

#3 Ariana Madix

Claim to Fame

She’s best known as a cast member of Vanderpump Rules. She even won the Best Reality Onscreen Team award at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards with her co-stars Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay.

💃 Dancing Flair

This self-proclaimed overachiever won the national dance championships twice. Add to that her early equestrian career which requires a strong core, something also vital in dancing. While she doesn’t ride horses anymore, she keeps herself fit with regular workouts. Ariana graduated with degrees in Theatre and Broadcast Communications, so she has a thorough understanding of performing arts. After her split from Tom Sandoval, she’s ready to take her life back, despite expressing a bit of nervousness being on the show.

👯 Pro Partner: Pasha Pashkov

#2 Jason Mraz

Claim to Fame

Surely you’ve heard of this two-time Grammy-award winner’s Billboard hits including I’m Yours, I Won’t Give Up, The Remedy (I Won’t Worry), and Lucky. The singer-songwriter has followed this success with a couple more album launches with his distinct melodic tunes.

🕺 Dancing Flair

If you check out his latest music video release Feel Good Too, you’ll see him dancing on roller skates, smooth and suave as he always is. That says a lot when he can maintain his usual musical/flash mob dancing style and take it to the next level…on wheels! Jason can create a magnetic blend of story and choreography while making it look oh-so-effortless and flawless.

👯 Pro Partner: Daniella Karagach

#1 Lele Pons

Claim to Fame

If you remember Vine, she’s the gal who got over a billion loops for her hilarious videos on the now-defunct site. These days, she’s a larger-than-life social media personality on YouTube and Instagram, spreading fun and laughter in her content. She’s also a singer known for her hits Se Te Nota and Celoso.

💃 Dancing Flair

Watching her music videos and live performances, you can clearly see she can throw in some impressive moves. Lele’s been featured as a dancer in other artists’ music videos including Anitta and J Balvin’s Downtown and Zedd, Maren Morris, and Grey’s The Middle. She was also on the panel of judges for Netflix’s Dance Monsters.

Lele’s born to be a performer. She can act, sing, and dance to varied choreography styles. What makes her stand out besides natural skill is she knows how to captivate an audience from the small screen to the big stage.
