This didn’t sit right with one subpostmaster in particular: Mr. Alan Bates. So, in 2009, he decided to form the Justice For Subpostmasters Alliance (JFSA).
Mr. Bates used the JFSA to unite the subpostmasters who had been wrongfully prosecuted by the Post Office so that they could take on the company and its only shareholder — the Government of the United Kingdom.
Over the past 20 years, Bates and the other members of the JSA have been fighting back against the Post Office. By banding together, they’ve managed to have multiple convictions overturned and millions of wrongly paid pounds returned to postal workers.
