Ghosties, we have some important news to share with you today. We invited Deloitte Audit Romania, one of the Big Four firms, to conduct a second audit on our server network and its management systems. Commissioning regular security audits lets us have another pair of eyes scrutinize our systems and verify how we uphold our strict no-logs policy.
This marks another historical milestone and enforces our commitment to transparency and digital security. We’re delighted with the results, and we hope you take some time to read through the report. It will be available in your online account.
Why We’re Committed to Regular Audits
Your trust is important to us. Every time you connect to one of our servers, it’s our responsibility to ensure your traffic is encrypted and your data is secure. This is not a responsibility we take lightly.
We always make sure CyberGhost VPN runs optimally and adheres to the highest security standards. That’s why we commissioned Deloitte to perform a second audit on our configurations and our systems.
Third-party audits are a reliable and safe way for VPN providers to attest to the effectiveness of their service’s security measures and the accuracy of their privacy policies. Independent audits allow authorized outside sources to review systems objectively and fairly.
We’re honored to have professional auditors from Deloitte inspect our network and management systems again. Performing regular security audits is a hallmark of our commitment to building a robust and well-rounded VPN service.
A Summary of Deloitte’s Review
Deloitte thoroughly inspected our service and provided us with an assessment report of their findings. They reviewed our VPN network and the systems we put in place to uphold our strict no-logs policy. In addition, they reviewed our incident management framework and our dedicated IP token-based system. This is the innovative system we have put in place to prevent any association between your CyberGhost VPN account and the unique IP address you use.
Deloitte conducted the audit in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3000 (Revised) applicable to Assurance Engagements Other That Audits or Reviews of Historical Financial Information (ISAE 3000 (Revised)) established by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (“IAASB”) and its results should be read in full.
Because of the extensive nature of the audit and the scope of Deloitte services, excerpts from the report cannot be shared directly. This measure ensures the audit results are not taken out of context or misunderstood.
We’re happy to let you know that you can easily read the full report by accessing it from your CyberGhost VPN account.
Transparency Is Everything to Us
Transparency has been at the forefront of everything we do. We operate under Privacy by Design principles, we release quarterly and annual Transparency Reports, and we have a Bug Bounty Program through which we welcome collaboration from cybersecurity researchers all over the world. Since our inception, we’ve been transparent with the measures we take to secure your online data.
We never store your data, and we’ve built our service to ensure you can surf online securely in an era of increasing digital surveillance and tracking.
In 2022, we underwent our first independent audit, which marked a major milestone for us. Now, we’re honored to have Deloitte review our system for the second time, and we’re proud to share the results with you. Our work won’t stop here. As we constantly strive to improve our service and offer you peace of mind in the face of mutating digital threats, we’ll commission regular audits. You deserve nothing less.
