This is an exciting year for the FIFA Women’s World Cup — a year of firsts. It’s the first time since its inaugural game in China the game will be held in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s also the first year a World Cup will be jointly hosted by two countries. Australia and New Zealand are members of the Asian Football Confederation and Oceania Football Confederation, respectively. This means the 2023 World Cup is the first FIFA senior competition to be hosted across two confederations.

This year will see the US as returning champions chasing their 3rd consecutive win. After bagging their 4th win (and 2nd consecutive win) in the 2019 cup, can the US team make history and get their 3rd win in a row? You won’t have to wait much longer to find out as the 2023 Women’s World Cup kicks off on 20 July 2023 with co-host New Zealand against Norway. It’ll run through to the final a month later on 20 August 2023, concluding in Australia.
Excited for things to get underway? FIFA has released the final kickoff times for the 2023 tournament, so let’s take a look at what you can expect this year. Check out the full Women’s World Cup schedule below.
FIFA Women’s World Cup — 2023 Format & Differences From 2019

How to Watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Online
Another first for the World Cup this year comes from its broadcasting side. FIFA has decided to separate the broadcasting rights for the Women’s World Cup from the men’s tournament. Unfortunately, this may mean the World Cup might not be broadcast in the “Big 5” European countries, as FIFA president Gianni Infantino suggested in May 2023. The reason for this seems to stem from poor offers leading to broadcasting agreements falling through.
If you want to stream the Women’s World Cup, it’s still being broadcast across several countries, including the US, UK, and Canada. At the time of writing, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, and Japan have yet to reach broadcasting agreements with FIFA to air the Women’s World Cup.
All of the matches will be broadcast in the USA on the FOX family of networks, and on Telemundo in Spanish. If you want to catch the World Cup in the UK, you’ll have to tune in to both ITV and BBC as the matches are split between them. Here’s a short list of where you can watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 matches online.

Tune In For a Thrilling Women’s World Cup Season
Don’t miss out on what’s set to be a thrilling year for women’s football, and one of the biggest events in women’s sports of the year. FIFA has reportedly already sold more than 1 million tickets for the upcoming tournament. The organizer also mixed things up for the 2023 World Cup by introducing a massively increased roster. These teams look motivated to keep the USA from bagging another win this year.

Despite plenty of controversy surrounding last year’s World Cup in Qatar, it looks like this year is set to be more relaxed. At least, the organizer seems to hope so if its strangely specific and long list of banned items, which includes clothing and items of a political nature, is anything to go by.
You can just skip all that, of course, and watch the Women’s World Cup from the comfort of your couch. Tune in with CyberGhost VPN to access our massive network of streaming-optimized servers which prioritize streaming traffic so you’ll never have to deal with overcrowding. We don’t apply bandwidth limits which means you can take in every second of the match buffer-free in UHD, if the streaming platform supports it.
